The poetry of Eastern European art
songs "projected with warm appeal.
Miss Halvani came into her own here [singing Jewish Folk songs]
and in the Russian songs…her Yiddish diction admirably clear...
beautifully mesmeric.
An enjoyable, enriching evening with an enterprising programme choice…one
looks forward to future performances by the Halvani-Brickman duo.

Ms Halvani's richly developed timbre
well suited the opening set of Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky songs,
the Russian language incisively projected and the passionate intensity
of the text conveyed with subtle dynamics, and conviction.
Her dramatic range and tonal breadth were especially well displayed
in Four Israeli Folksongs…highlighting Ms Halvani's versatility.
